The colder weather is here in Pittsburgh and with it comes dry flaky lips!!

Since I am a glutton for pumpkin anything, why not bust out my crafting skills (or lack there of) and make a little DIY Pumpkin Spice Lip Scrub! This recipe is extremely simple and great for your lips–especially in cold weather conditions.  It only has 4 ingredients, takes a total of 10 minutes to make, and tastes pretty good too.

What’s In It And Why
Coconut Oil -2 Tbs. It is incredibly moisturizing and you can even use it as a hair conditioner or a skin moisturizer. I get mine at Costco's because of it’s good value, but most grocery stores carry it in the health food area.
Honey – 1 Tbs. This helps to lock in moisture and its healing to the skin.
Pumpkin Pie Spice -1 tsp. For no good reason other than it sounded interesting. If for some crazy reason you don’t like pumpkin, just skip this ingredient.
Brown Sugar -2 Tbs. For the exfoliating effect.

Mix all the ingredients together and save in a baby food jar or small container!!

How To Use
Apply a small amount to your lips, rub them together, and then wipe off residue with a towel. Or you can just lick your lips like I do.
Follow with you favorite lip balm.
I love EOS because it is 100% natural lip balm that's petrolatum & paraben free. Long lasting moisture shea butter & vitamin E smoothes on clear and glides on to lips!! Packed with antioxidant-rich vitamin E, soothing shea butter and jojoba oil, eos keeps lips moist, soft and sensationally smooth.
