Oatmeal Recipes

I really truely believe that oatmeal is a super food. I eat oatmeal every morning and I swear that it starts my metabolism, give me sustained energy and keeps me fuller longer. Every morning my husband and I make our oatmeal and eat our hard boiled eggs.We are always looking for ways to spice it up! Check out a list of recipes that I found at the gracious pantry. Hopefully, you will give oatmeal a try and love it as much as we do!
I always buy rolled oats, not instant because they retain a high nutritional value. The best oatmeal to buy is steel cut oats because they retain the most nutritional value.I microwave my oats with some water for about 75 seconds. Then, I add my ingredients, usually fresh fruit (peaches, bananas, blueberries) and always 1 tbsp ground flaxseed, 1 tbsp bee pollen and 1 tbsp wheat germ.

Fruit n'Nut Oatmeal
1 cup cooked oatmeal
1/2 cup soy milk
1/4 cup walnuts
1/2 banana
1/4 cup blackberries
1 tbsp. wheat germ

Hazelnut Oatmeal
1 cup cooked oatmeal
1/2 cup almond milk
1/4 cup hazelnuts (chopped)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
